Do you have a warm heart for horses and people? At the Bio Riding School in Arnhem — the National Center for Horse Riding for the Disabled — you get the chance to really make a difference. Here, riders with an intellectual and/or physical disability experience fun and the special and therapeutic effect of horse riding.
As an Assistant Manager, you, together with the Manager, ensure a pleasant, safe and well-organized environment. You give lessons to riders with disabilities, supervise instructors and volunteers, monitor the well-being of our horses and keep the daily organization running smoothly.
What do we ask?
ORUN 3 qualification
Experience in giving riding lessons to riders with disabilities
Practical experience in the care and training of horses
A hospitable, connecting attitude and the ability to keep an overview
Flexible deployability

Dealing with horses has a positive effect on all people. The BIO riding school makes horse riding accessible and affordable for everyone. Our team is specially trained to let people with disabilities experience the relaxing and therapeutic effect of horse riding. We do this in a playful way and with the use of necessary tools. This way, every rider can enjoy the interaction with horses to his own way and level.
Our objectives:
– Our mission is making horse riding possible for children, young people and adults with a disability.
– bringing the therapeutic effects of horse riding to the attention of people with disabilities.
– Training people within the field.
– Gathering and distributing knowledge and experience in the broadest sense of horse riding for people with disabilities.
– Stimulating the integration of riders with a disability and valid riders.
