Horse and Work is the place where employers and job seekers within the Equestrian sector are connected! Horse and Work BV cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Horse and Work BV. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is May 1, 2024, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us. About data processing

Software
Our platform is developed with software from 2beFresh. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of providing our services will be shared with this party. 2beFresh has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. 2beFresh is obliged to take appropriate security measures on the basis of the agreement we have concluded with them. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. 2beFresh uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. 2beFresh reserves the right to share collected data within its own group in order to further improve its services.
Email and mailing lists
MailChimp
We send our e-mail newsletters with MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail that is automatically sent via our website, you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether e-mails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties in this context.
Hostnet
We use the services of Hostnet for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of you and our data as much as possible. Hostnet does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.
Payment processors
Mollie
To handle (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Payment Service Provider Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymised) data with third parties in this context. In the event of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility), Mollie shares personal data and order data with post-payment service providers. All the above-mentioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not store your data any longer than is permitted by law.
Exact
We use the services of Exact to keep track of our administration and bookkeeping. We share your name, address and city details and details related to your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored in a protected manner. Exact is obliged to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Exact does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Storing your data
When Horse and Work acts as a controller of your Personal Data, we will retain this data until it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it is used, as required by applicable law, or until you ask us to delete it.
Information about how long we keep your data, for each purpose, can be found in the next section. In determining these appropriate retention periods, we take into account the purposes for which we process Personal Data and whether we can achieve those purposes by other means. We also take into account the scope, nature and sensitivity of Personal Data and our legal obligations in relation to data. Where possible, Horse and Work anonymizes or indexes Personal Data so that it can no longer be associated with or identify a user, in which case Horse and Work may further process the data.
When Horse and Work acts as a Processor of your Personal Data, we will retain this data until the Controller instructs us to delete it.
All Personal Data that Horse and Work obtains from other external sources will be processed by Horse and Work in accordance with this Privacy Policy and all applicable laws.

To make it easier to apply for jobs and for employers to find candidates. To send Job Seekers relevant Job Vacancies and Employer applications. To send you relevant marketing emails.

Why we process it
To send you marketing and transactional emails and reminders. To create an account on your behalf.
Legal basis
Transactional emails are sent as part of the performance of a contract. When an account is created, marketing emails are sent based on the legitimate interest of promoting and improving our services.
Job alerts sent to your email address are based on consent. The creation of an account takes place on the basis of the execution of a contract.

What we collect: Device data – IP address/device ID, user agent. We collect the name you have given to your device, the device type, your phone number, country and other information you provide to us.

What we collect: Application data – your CV and other materials shared when you apply for a job through Horse and Work, your activities in connection with that application.

We process your application data and, in some cases, store it on behalf of the Employer.

We will pass on your screening data to the relevant Employer, where applicable.

To improve our services. As part of your application process for a Job Listing.

Performance of a contract between Horse and Work Employer. We rely on our legitimate interest to improve our services.

A maximum of 4 weeks after the relevant vacancy for which you have applied will be deleted.
What we collect: Candidate status updates – information about the status of your application and the decisions made by the Employer.

We collect, store, process and analyse this information.
Why we process them
To better understand the effectiveness of our Website and their features.
Legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interest in operating, managing and improving our Website. Subject to applicable law, we may rely on your consent.

What we collect: Application data – including your CV, photo and/or application video (if applicable), preferences, when you are online or were recently active on Horse and Work, information about qualifications and any other data you have shared during your online application.

To help you find more relevant Job Listings. To send you invitations to apply for certain jobs. To make suggestions when you apply for jobs on external websites in our mobile software. To show when you are online or were recently active on Horse and Work.

Personal data we collect from Employers:
What we collect: Business information – verification documents about your business, employee contact information, and physical location of the business. This may include, for example, a federal employer number and company registration information.
How we use it
We collect, process, store and analyse such data to verify whether Employers on our Website are legitimate. This information will only be used for internal purposes, with the exception of police requests or court orders.
Why we process it
To prevent fraud and spam, and to protect Job Seekers.
Legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interest in detecting and preventing fraudulent activity on our Websites. When we need to comply with a legal obligation.
Retention period
For data provided for verification purposes, we delete such information after your account has been verified. Information used for billing purposes is retained in accordance with legal requirements.
What we collect: Rich media content – videos, images, and other content about your business.
How we use it
We import and/or store such content and display it on our Website.
Why we process it
To enable Employers to improve their Job Listings and Company Page by adding media content.
Legal basis
Consent – an Employer does not have to provide this information. We have a legitimate interest in improving our services and helping Employers attract candidates.

Lifetime of the account, or until you delete such content.
Additional Purposes and Data Disclosure
Resume Reviews
We offer the opportunity in the form of resume reviews to help Job Seekers create and improve their resume. This may include feedback on how to create a more effective resume or a personalized resume review video. By providing these services, Horse and Work may provide you with feedback, including questions and comments about the content of your resume, about your resume, or about other materials you submit through the services. We’ll give this feedback directly to you by email. The feedback will not be shared with Employers.
Automatically process your Personal Data
We process Personal Data automatically in order to evaluate specific aspects relating to a user and to analyze and predict a user’s preferences and interests. When we carry out this processing, we do so on the basis of the user’s consent or the performance of a contract, where such processing is necessary for us to provide our services to Job Seekers and Employers. For example, this processing allows us to effectively match Job Seekers with Employers, send Job Alerts, recommended job postings, and invitations to respond to job openings that the Job Seeker is likely to be interested in, send certain Job Seeker applications to an Employer, display search results, send job application status notifications on behalf of Employers, or perform certain spam and fraud detection activities to improve our protect users. Such processing is subject to the security measures stated in this Privacy Policy to protect the privacy of our users. Register activity on the website
We collect, record, process, analyse and store all activities you carry out on the Website, and all interactions and communications you have with, on or through the Website. We may also engage third parties to collect and process this data on behalf of Horse and Work, in connection with our activities to improve the Website, protect our users and optimize our services, as described further in this policy. Transfers of Information to Employers
Horse and Work sends Personal Data of Job Seekers to Employers, also on behalf of Job Seekers and Employers. Such transfers are carried out during the job search and application and interview process. Personal data of Job Seekers transferred to Employers in this way will be processed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Horse and Work and those of the relevant Employer.
Employers agree to comply with all their responsibilities under applicable data protection rules in relation to the collection, processing and storage of Personal Data, as well as providing adequate protection of all data subject rights as set out in all applicable data protection regulations.
Transfers of Information to Job Seekers
Horse and Work sends certain information related to Employers to Job Seekers. This includes publishing Job Listings, Company Pages and salary information on the Websites and publishing Job Listings on external websites. Horse and Work may also make certain Employer-related information available to Job Seekers, such as information about an Employer’s activities and reactions to the Website. This may include, but is not limited to: the name of the Employer’s representative, the Employer’s city/state, whether the Employer has taken or decided not to take any action with respect to the Job Seeker’s resume or application, such as opening, viewing, responding to, or making a decision regarding the resume or application, whether the Employer has made contact with other Job Seekers or viewed resumes of other Job Seekers, and whether the Employer has taken any action with respect to a Job Listing, such as pausing or closing it. We do this to help Job Seekers assess their job prospects. When you, as an Employer, use the Website (for example, by posting a Job Listing), you agree that Horse and Work may provide this information to Job Seekers.
Automatically Collected Data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
Participation in tax and criminal investigations
In some cases, Horse and Work may be obliged to share your data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation by the government. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered by law.
Retention periods
We store your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we will keep your (customer) profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a request to forget. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we are required to store invoices with your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your assignment.
Your rights
Based on the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you have certain rights as a data subject with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain what these rights are and how you can invoke them. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we will only send copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of completed requests, in the case of a request to be forgotten we administer anonymized data. All statements and copies of data will be sent to you in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an incorrect way.
