Technical manager

The Royal Dutch Equestrian Sports Federation (KNHS) is one of the largest and most sporting, the most successful sports associations in the Netherlands. The KNHS represents the interests of the affiliated sports providers and its members, so that they can practice equestrian sport as well as possible. The organization focuses not only on sports in a competition context, but also on recreational equestrian sport. The well -being of horses plays an important role within the KNHS policy, which fulfills an exemplary role in this. Due to the nature of equestrian sport, the KNHS maintains relationships with entrepreneurs and breeding in the horse sector. The KNHS is located at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo currently employs 75 (FTE) employees and is a dynamic organization.

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for sports technical policy and top sport development? Do you have experience in managing technical teams and shaping long -term sports visions? Then we are looking for you!

Als Technical manager ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen, implementeren en evalueren van het technische beleid binnen onze organisatie voor de (Para)Olympische disciplines. Je zorgt voor de inhoudelijke afstemming van programma’s, de aansluiting van competities en de integratie van topsportbeleid in het bredere organisatiebeleid. Je zorgt voor een goede en constructieve relatie met diverse partijen waaronder de FEI, EEF en NOC*NSF. Als Technical manager werk je constructief samen met en leg je verantwoording af aan de Manager Sport.

Your responsibilities

1. (Further) developing and propagating a multi -year top sport policy, including financial substantiation.
2. Formulating a clear vision of top sport and setting long -term objectives.
3. Ensuring the embedding of the top sport policy in the general multi -year policy of the organization.
4. Initiate, develop and implement technical programs and innovations.
5. Managing the technical framework and ensuring optimum cooperation and coordination.
6. Reporting about progress, results and strategic choices.

Your profile

1. HBO/Academic working and thinking level.
2. Knowledge of and passion for equestrian sport. Extensive experience in the (top) sport. Give experience in multiple disciplines and/or a completed Orun training is an advantage.
3. Demonstrable experience in a similar position within the sports sector.
4. Strategic and analytical thinking.
5. Leadership qualities and experience with managing teams.
6. Knowledge of and affinity with top sport and sports technical developments.
7. Strong communication skills, connecting and persuasiveness.
8. In view of the international character of the position, you are willing to travel regularly and you speak English in addition to Dutch also supplemented with another European language.

The KNHS offers

A great function in a dynamic organization. You work (hybrid) together with enthusiastic colleagues on the future of equestrian sport. An annual agreement, with the intention to eventually convert it into an agreement for an indefinite period. A gross monthly salary between € 5,478 and € 7,600 (based on 38 hours), depending on experience. We grant 24 vacation days and any age days. A laptop with homeworking accessories, a net telephone compensation and a mobility budget (gross). A good pension (50/50) and an additional health insurance allowance of € 300 gross per year, according to the Collective Labor Agreement for Sport. An individual choice budget (holiday pay & end -of -year bonus) with which you can choose between extra leave or salary and a sustainable employability budget. But above all a key role in a challenging and varied position, in which you can optimally use your talents, knowledge and experience.

Declaration of Behavior (VOG)

If you come to work with us, we will ask you for a Declaration of Behavior (VOG). When you enter the service at the KNHS, you will receive the request for digital requesting a VOG via Justis during the employment process. These costs are reimbursed by the KNHS.
