What you are going to do

At Aeres MBO Barneveld we train students to become versatile professionals in the horse sector. As a teacher you not only transfer knowledge, but you also know how to touch and motivate students with your enthusiasm and practical experience. You teach students the tricks of the profession and train them into true professionals who control and think their profession about their profession. You encourage them to discover and develop their talents and coach them in their personal growth so that they can grow into balanced young adults. This function is for 0.6 FTE.

What you will do further:

1. You teach subjects such as communication, entrepreneurship, hospitality and event organization, with an eye for the practice and the personal development of the student;
2. Knowledge and experience in management in the equestrian sector and laws and regulations is a great added value;
3. You create a safe and challenging learning environment in which activating didactics and cooperating learning are core elements;
4. Together with your colleagues you contribute to strengthening education within Aeres MBO Barneveld;
5. You follow the trends and developments in your field and apply them in your work.

1. You are in possession of a second -degree authority / PDG or are willing to get it within two years;
2. You have an affinity with and interest in working with MBO students in the green domain;
3. You have relevant work experience and have an affinity with the green domain;
4. You are enthusiastic, expert, inspiring, communicative, entrepreneurial and enjoy working together;
5. You know how to motivate and coach students. You are flexible;
6. You are able to think and work by cross -curricular;
7. You want to continue to develop in the pedagogical, didactic and personal field.

Where you are going to work

Aeres MBO Barneveld is a green MBO and is considered the trainer for animal training in the Netherlands. Students can go for a complete range of animal care training, from paraveterinar assistant to animal care or laboratory animal caretaker. The school is one of the largest trainers for the equestrian sector with training courses for equestrian and farming and farrier. In addition to the training courses in the field of animal care and horse, the school also offers training in the field of greenery, land and infrastructure (cultural -technical contracting), dairy farming and livestock farms.

Numerous animal species live on campus and there are many practical facilities. Since 2017, Aeres MBO Barneveld has had a zoo license and wants to become accessible to the broad public. In addition to the zoo license, Aeres Mbo Barneveld uses the Aeres Equestrian Center with more than 30 own school (sports) horses.
